The
exciting tourist attraction in southern Finland, the museum lighthouse BENGTSKÄR
warmly welcomes guests from near and far. A visit to Bengtskär is an
unforgettable experience for people of all ages, families
and groups of
both tourists and companies. The lighthouse is open every day from June 1st to August
31st at
10.00 am - 7.00 pm, in May and September by agreement.

Office hours: June 1st - August 31st: Every day 9 am to 7 pm May and September: Mon-Fri 9 am to 5.30 pm & Sat 10 am to 3.30 pm October 1st - April 30th: Mon-Fri 9.45 am to 3.30 pm, with the exception of 14.12-10.1, when we are closed.

The Archipelago Sights Route from Kasnäs
Cruises from KASNÄS depart 1.6-31.8.2010 daily with the following time-table: 11.00 Kasnäs - Rosala 11.30 13.15 Rosala - Bengtskär 14.00 16.30 Bengtskär - Kasnäs 17.45. Time to spend at Bengtskär 2,5 hours and at the Rosala Viking Centre 1 h 45 minutes. The cruise price 53 € / person includes boat transport, lunch ( Pike-perch soup, archipelago bread and coffee ) and entrance fees with guided tours at Bengtskär and the Viking Centre. Payment can be made on the boat, we accept cash ( preferably ) and Finnish bank-cards. If needed, it is also possible to use Visa and MasterCard at the Viking Centre. The boats used for this cruise are Linnea ( max 40 persons ), Minandra ( max 40 persons ) and Ocean ( max 24 persons ). Boats can be fully booked in the summertime, so we warmly recommend making a reservation. You can also book the cruise from Rosala including boat transfer and guided tour at the lighhouse. In that case the price is 30 € / person, visit to the Viking Centre and lunch are not included. Prices are -50% for children in the age of 4-14.
Things to know when booking the Archipelago Sights Route:
- There is a car ferry before Kasnäs that leaves every 20 minutes. To have an extra 15 minutes before departure, we recommend the ferry at 10.20. - Recommended driving time from Turku is 2 hours and from Helsinki 3 hours. - A print-out map over the area with the time-table for Lövö ferry can be found here ( print as landscape ). An air-picture of the Kasnäs harbour can be found here. - The free-of-charge parking area for Bengtskär travellers is situated on the left hand side ca 100 m before you reach the pier. It is locked, and You receive the code when booking. - Wheather reservation: If the wheather prevents landing on Bengtskär, the cruise will return to Kasnäs from Rosala at 14.00, and the price is reduced to 36 € for adults and 18 € for children.
Charter traffic
The above mentioned boats plus a few others can be chartered to Bengtskär from May to September. Charters are booked at Bengtskär Ltd. For groups, transports can be booked starting 1st May, every day until 30th September.
Accommodation at Bengtskär
Six lighthouse keeper's rooms have become hotelrooms that are keeping the original spirit of their environment alive. The price for a night is 64 - 110 € / person depending on the amount of people staying (1 person 110 €, 2 persons 86 € / person, 3 persons 75 € / person, 4 persons 64 € / person), half price for children 4-14 years. The price also includes breakfast and sauna. The price for boat transportation and other meals is added. See price list.
Example price for one night during the summer period 1.6-31.8.2010, 2 persons: - Round trip by boat including entrance fee, visit to the Rosala Viking Centre and lunch á 53,00 - Accommodation including evening sauna and breakfast á 86,00 - Second day lunch and dinner á 36,00 - Total price 350,00 euros.
Example price for one night during the spring and autumn periods 30.4-31.5 and 1-30.9.2010, 2 persons: - Round trip by boat including entrance fee á 53,00 - Accommodation including evening sauna and breakfast á 86,00 - Two lunches and dinner á 47,00 - Total price 372,00 euros.

From June 1st to August 31st, we book over-nights stays every day. Before and after that time, all transfers to the lighthouse are charter boats for groups. Private persons can book over-night stays on Fri-Sat and Sat-Sun nights during May and September.

Conference trips
We offer designed packages for lighthouse conferences every day from May to September that include transportation, a guided tour, accommodation in 6 rooms, conference room with coffee / tea, breakfast, lunch, dinner and sauna. The price is 198 - 276 € / person depending on specifications and the size of the group. A suitable group size is 10-24 persons.
